European Rating



The rating explanation covers the following reports: Compact (ECP), Standard, BIR (EBR)& Comprehensive (ECM).

D&B Rating = The company’s financial strenght, e.g. 5A1.

The lettercode 5A indicates the size of the company’s financial strength, (or in some cases the capital stock) based on the last publizised balance sheet.

The financial strenght is always in the countries own currency, unless stated differently. Please contact your local bank to get correct exchange rate.

Ratingcodes:
5A, 4A, 3A, 2A, 1A, A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H

Where 5A has the highest financial strenght and H has the lowest.

The folllowing codes are also used:

0 -Net worth undetermined
N -negative net Worth
NB -New business
NQ -Out of business
DS -Support record

Where Annual Accounts is not available, then the Financial Strenght Indicator is based upon the legal or Paid Up Capital and is assigned a distinctive rating of a double alpha occurrence (e.g. 2AA)

Please notice that companies in German speaking countries are hard to get balance sheet information from, due to rules and regulations. Please pay close attention to their Payment Score instead.

The last number in the D&B's ratingcode e.g. 1, referenses to the company’s creditworthness in a riskfactor. The creditworthness is in a scale where 1 indicates an excellent creditworhtness and 4 being poor.

Risk Factor:
1 = Strong
2 = Good
3 = Fair
4 = Poor
